Meet My Debut Cookbook: Maxi’s Kitchen

I’m so excited to finally share this with you! This book is about finding your go-tos, the recipes you make on repeat to nourish yourself and the people you love. When you have those in your back pocket, cooking starts to feel easier and a lot more enjoyable. These are the real-life recipes I cook for myself, my husband, my family, and my friends, and I hope they become a part of your weekly rotation too.

If you plan to order the book, I would be so grateful if you’d consider pre-ordering it. Preorders make a huge difference. They help determine which retailers pick up the book and whether I get to do things like a book tour or events in your city. It really helps open doors and make all of this possible, so thank you in advance if you do.

A Peek Under the Cover

Maxi’s Kitchen is organized by day of the week, with intentions for each day that help you pick the perfect recipe to match your mood.

  • Monday

Monday is all about quick and easy meals with minimal chopping. Most are ready in under 30 minutes, because no one wants to overthink dinner at the start of the week.

  • Tuesday

Tuesday features one-pan, one-pot, or one-skillet recipes that keep cleanup to a minimum, so you don’t end the day with a sink full of dishes.

  • Wednesday

Wednesday is where things get fun. Think tacos, bowls, and handhelds. Colorful, vibrant recipes to get through the midweek slump.

  • Thursday

Thursday leans a little more elevated. It’s date night in, or a cozy moment just for you when you want something extra delicious.

  • Friday

Friday is made for sharing. Small plates, snacks, and bites that are perfect for hosting friends or kicking off the weekend.

  • Saturday

Saturday is for the immersive recipes you can really sink into. Think snow days, holidays, or any day you want to cook something just for the joy of it.

  • Sunday

Sunday is brunch day. Celebratory, comforting, and perfect for a slow morning.

  • Simple Sides

You’ll also find a bonus chapter of simple sides to mix and match with meals throughout the week.

Meet the Author

Maxine Sharf

Hi, I’m Maxine! I’m a culinary creator and recipe developer who is passionate about bringing comfort, confidence, and community to cooking. I take inspiration from my diverse background as Korean, Chinese, Romanian, Russian, and Polish with a California upbringing. I currently reside in Los Angeles with my husband, Doug, and our pup, Kimchi.

This book reflects the way I really cook: simple, flavorful, and full of inspiration from the global flavors I grew up with and love most. I poured my heart into every page, and I hope these recipes become staples in your kitchen and traditions in your home for years to come.
